Now that you know about Heloise Acher and Ursula Hitz, you have to discover Deli-X in Deptford.
I cannot praise enough this place which is a London typical organic hence fashionable coffee shop, all natural and cosy.
When you first get inside, you can’t avoid having a stroll in the grocery part of the shop between the shelves displaying various organic and healthy products, stacks of eggs and jam pots.
About food and drink, the staff is lovely, have very good advises and a great imagination when it comes to make unusual specialties from Hawaii or such exotic places. They offer a great range of home-made cakes, puddings, muffins and you will find it hard to decide which one gets your preference.
Once you get past the shop, here they are: sofas, arm chairs each of them weirder than the other! And you just want to gently collapse into one of these with a cup of herbal tea and a gluten-free raspberry and blueberry muffin – the best I have ever tasted in my short gluten-free career.
On a sunny and warm day, the backyard is most enjoyable and quiet. You can sip your glass of wine in the shade or in the sun. And for night time, there is a wall of candles.
